Nigeria Worrell is an influential Makeup Artist in the Mid-Atlantic area. For nearly 2 decades, she has been immersed in the Fashion and Beauty Industry. Starting out as a model, and then expanding her brand to makeup application and development, she is constantly seen as a go-to artist in the Mid-Atlantic region.
Her rise into the makeup world started behind the scenes while modeling; assisting the Makeup Artist on set due to demand, and limited time. She quickly developed a passion for artistry and worked to hone her skills by helping the Makeup Artists at Fashion Shows and enlisting the help of friends and family to help build her portfolio. She continued working on her craft, all while working as a Model Instructor for Barbizon Modeling Agency from 2004-2008.
As an intern at a local cosmetics company in her hometown, Nigeria perfected her skill of makeup application and how to produce cosmetics. This led to her certification as a Makeup Artist, along with numerous opportunities to work as a MUA during Washington D.C., and New York Fashion Weeks. Nigeria credits working with her mentors, beauty industry veterans, Renny Vasquez and Crystal Wright as making a significant impact on her career. As a certified Eyelash Extension Specialist, Nigeria has developed a Mink Eyelash line, as well as a line of Lipsticks, with her goal being to develop a full cosmetics line for Women of Color.
Nigeria is constantly in demand each season for Weddings, Proms, Galas, and any special occasion that a woman wants to feel beautiful. Nigeria not only transforms beauty on the outside, but her work helps women to understand their internal beauty as well.
An Architect of Beauty, Innovator, and Supporter of Women’s Empowerment, Nigeria has most recently hosted her first Women's event, a movement to uplift and support other Women Entrepreneurs. Future endeavors include mentoring and coaching Aspiring Makeup Artists to build their brand.
